Sidekick Cafe & Milk Bar
@ The Ferry Building
UPDATE: We are open for Saturday Farmers' Market!
OPEN Saturdays: 8am-2pm

Starting April 2020, our Ferry Building Sidekick Cafe & Milk Bar is back up and running during Saturday Farmers' Markets at the Ferry Building. Get your grilled cheese take-away fix with our walk-up no contact ordering.

Our Cheese Shop next door will also be open Saturdays! All the organic, local fresh milk, artisan cheese, pantry goods, and more are ready again for you.

We invite you to explore the cheese-centric menu at Sidekick, the fast-casual café next door to our Cheese Shop at the San Francisco Ferry Plaza. Taking inspiration from cheese and dairy stalls at the Paris Agricultural Fair, we offer breakfast and lunchtime classics with a seasonal Cowgirl twist.

Guests can savor the best grilled cheese in San Francisco or enjoy lighter fare such as a yogurt & fruit parfait or our famous cottage cheese with avocado & radish. We source much of our ingredients from local neighbors in the Ferry Building Marketplace and Farmers Market such as Acme Bread, Far West Fungi, McEvoy Ranch and Frog Hollow Farms.

Afternoon Cheesemonger Roundup:  Mon-Fri  |  3:30-6:30pm
In lieu of a traditional happy hour, Sidekick offers guests an interactive experience with a Cowgirl cheesemonger who, after a quick chat about preferences and interests, will prepare a bountiful cheese plate of one, three or five cheeses plus accouterments. Add a glass of local wine or beer to complete the experience.

Our beloved Raclette is also available Monday-Friday, 3:30-6:30pm.
