Jolanda and Gerben Bakker milk about 200 Friesian ewes at their dairy on the island of Terschelling in the Wadden Sea located in the north of the Netherlands. The farm sells locally grown produce and other products to support the local economy, and also runs an educational center that focuses on educating children about farming and sheep.

This unique Gouda is made with the farm's organic sheep milk in small batches. It ages for 8-12 months for a firm, smooth texture, and develops flavors of nuts and sweet caramel with savory underpinnings of beef.
