Petite Breakfast

The Marin French Cheese Company has been making cheese at its ranch just outside of Petaluma since 1865, and is known as the oldest continually operating creamery in the U.S. The company now makes a range of classic French-style cheeses using Jersey, Holstein and Guernsey milk from neighboring family farms, and traditional cheesemaking practices.

The "breakfast cheese" was Marin French's first. This fresh, unripened Brie -- a California original -- has been made since the late 1800s, when it was served in saloons around San Francisco. Today, the cheese is enriched with a dollop of cream, giving it a rich texture that makes it a perfect companion to morning toast or an evening cocktail.
