STICHELTON from Neal's Yard Dairy

Neal's Yard Dairy is famous for searching out the finest traditional farmhouse cheeses in the British Isles. One of the cheeses that founder Randolph Hodgson is most excited about these days is Stichelton, an organic raw milk blue, made in Nottinghamshire under Randolph's supervision, using the original Stilton recipe. The cheese has a smooth texture with sweet, caramel flavors and tangy blue veins throughout. We are featuring Stichelton (this week only) as part of our Neal's Yard Collection which also includes Lincolnshire Poacher, a meaty aged cheddar made by Ulceby Grange Farm, and Coolea, a Dutch cheese made in Ireland by Willem’s Family Farm. The Moo Moo Hooters

It's not too late to donate to the Point Reyes Bird-a-Thon. Our keen Cowgirl Creamery team, the Moo Moo Hooters, crawled over field and stream to identify over 100 species of birds on the shoreline between Point Reyes Station and Bolinas. It was a thrill to see the intersection of cultivated farmland with wild lands, all providing healthy habitat for birds. We are hoping for a few more donations from our customers to support the work of the Point Reyes Bird Observatory. For more information on this fundraiser and how to join us in support, click here.
