Cheese By Dads
Now it's your turn, Daddy-O. Our June,
Cheese By Dads Collection is designed for living
large in the great outdoors. It includes Point Reyes Farmstead Blue, a cow's milk blue
(6oz) made by local rancher, Bob Giacomini, fun dad to four talented daughters who
came back home to the dairy to help start a cheesemaking operation. And from
Oregon, we include Capricorns, made by devoted dad, Flavio DeCastilhos
of Tumalo Farms, a semi-firm goat cheese studded with peppercorns (12oz).
The third cheese is Truckle, a cow's milk cheddar aged for 18 months (8oz),
made by Kurt Dammeier's Beecher's Cheese in downtown Seattle. Kurt proudly coaches
his kids, along with a gang of kids from the neighborhood, in Mercer Island's Little League.
To round out this grand collection of exquisite cheeses, we've added Fra'mani's Salametto Piccante,
a spicy, dry chorizo (8oz) made by papa Paul Bertolli, a French Opinel Picnic Knife and a hand crafted
Howard Foote Cheeseboard
made from locally found wood. Thanks to all three "father cheesemakers" for all that you give
to your family and to your community.
