The Pacific Northwest Collection

In the wild and wonderful lands to our north, where punishing Winter rains yield to warm breezes and lush Spring pastures, we've selected three terrific cheeses for this collection. The first is Beecher's Flagship Reserve (12oz), a bandage-wrapped cheddar made at Pikes Place Market in downtown Seattle, Mt. Townsend's Cirrus (6oz), a creamy bloomy rind made with sweet Spring milk from Washington's Olympic Peninsula, and Oregon's Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue (8oz), a tantalizing blue cheese smoked over a slow fire of local hazelnut shells. Order here.

Rogue's Cool Blue Truck

Indulge and honor Grilled Cheese Month with a different sandwich each week in April at our San Francisco Ferry Building cheese-centric eatery, Sidekick, using recipes from Laura Werlin’s new book, Grilled Cheese, Please!

Enjoy a Ham and Tam sandwich (La Quercia Ham and Cowgirl MT TAM cheese on an Acme Challah roll. Yum.) at the Cowgirl booth at Petaluma's annual Butter and Egg Days on Saturday, April 16th. The event celebrates Petaluma’s agricultural heritage. Grab a sandwich and stay for the Parade which starts at noon down the Boulevard. Cowgirl is at Booth #80 inside the Kentucky Parking Lot.

Then, explore milk's glorious leap into immortality with the multi-media concert/presentation/tasting with Sue Conley, co-founder of Cowgirl Creamery and sound artist and nephew, Chris Kallmyer, at the Berkeley Art Museum on April 29th. The performance features a dairyman's oral history, a cheese tasting, and music inspired by and including cows eating grass and the pouring of curd. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased online.
