Ever wondered about how milk is
transformed into cheese, or how to milk a cow? Please join us
for a tour of Cowgirl Creamery's new Petaluma creamery where you
will watch the cheesemakers at work, taste MT TAM triple cream
at three different ages and hear the Cowgirl Creamery story.
Then we'll caravan to Deer Valley
Dairy, one of Straus Family Creamery's organic milk suppliers,
where your Cowgirl Creamery guide will hand you over to dairy
owner, Kathy Tresch. She will lead you on a walk to the milking
barn, across the wildflower-studded pastures, finally settling
in the apple orchard for a tasty box lunch provided by Cowgirl
Creamery's Cantina.
The tour begins in Petaluma at 11
am, ending at 2 pm. Tour includes cheese sampling, beverages and
lunch. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a jacket in case a the fog
rolls in. $60/person. Get a group of 10 to 20
together and give us a call.
