Compelled by a deep desire to slow down from the frantic pace of corporate life, brothers-in-law Tim Welsh and Pat Ford decided to join forces in 2005 and create Beehive Cheese. Their unique approach to cheese making has resulted in several fine cheeses we have added to our selection. Beehive cheeses are made from pasteurized Jersey cow milk supplied by local dairies that do not use hormones, antibiotics or chemical fertilizers.
Rubbed with a blend of black tea and pure bergamot oil, the newest Beehive creation is Teahive, which they first brought to Cowgirl to test. We loved it! It's a wonderful semi-firm cheese rubbed with a blend of Black Tea and Bergamont Oil tantalizing eaters with the soothing qualities of tea and the relaxing properties of bergamot and producing a creamy cheese with rich fragrances of orange blossoms in April. Aaaah!
