Since 1865, the Marin French Cheese Company has been making cheese in their same Northern California location. The company's founder, Jefferson A. Thompson, started by making "California granular cheese," but thirty-five years later, the company decided to start emulating traditional French and Swiss cheesemaking methods. Today, Marin French Cheese Company hand makes French-style cheeses that also manage to have Californian influence in their style and flavor.

La Petite Creme is golden and rich. Spreading beautifully across crusty bread or crisp crackers, this Brie-style cheese also packs quite a robust wallop in the finish.
