Hailing from the Brabant region of Holland, this gouda is made from the pasteurized milk of Saanen goats. The wheels are ripened in caves with slightly higher ambient temperatures to ensure proper drying and, in turn, fuller flavor.
The beautiful white paste has lovely flavors of caramel and butter, with a pleasant savory underpinning from the goat’s milk. The cheese pairs well with a dry Riesling or a malty amber ale.
